A simple meal of Mee Goreng, bought off an eatery in the Aljunied MRT station, set me back by S$4.00! The MRT is frequented by the low to lower middle-income people, like me. That's runnaway inflation for you!

No thanks to the former CEO of SMRT, Ms Saw Phaik Hwa for helping SMRT rake in millions at the expense of the poor commuters through her foray into Train Retailing. Not only did she want to suck them dry, she also neglected to make sure they can travel home on time. Yeah, great reason for dining at the eating place built at MRT stations.
